The number of hours and responsibilities are similar for the three programs, but the Au Pair's qualifications differ. Before selecting a candidate, you will have access to all the candidates profiles and be able to review their child care experience. Although we ask you to indicate which program you would prefer, you do not need to make the final decision until you have had a chance to review all the candidates. Families requiring care for a child under two years of age must choose option II or III.

Program I: Au Pair Child Care:
Candidates have with a minimum of 200 hours of recent, practical child care experience.

Program II: Au Pair Infant Child Care:
Candidate must have a minimum of 200 hours of documented recent, practical infant child care experience.

Program III: Au Pair Professionnel
Au pair has a formal educational child care degree or a minimum of two years full-time childcare experience like daycare. Details of formal child care degrees are provided to Host Families in the Au Pair profiles. To care for a child younger than two years of age, the candidate must also have a minimum of 200 hours of documented recent, practical infant childcare experience. The supply of these special au pairs is limited, so please apply early.
