Letter To My Future Host Family
My name is Andrea and I am very glad to meet you! I applied for this cultural exchange program because of several reasons.
Firstly, I always loved traveling and experiencing new places, so when I read that I would get to spend an entire year in another country I was really excited! The U.S. was always appealing to me as a country, I always watched American movies and listened to American music and just loved their entertainment industry in general.
But what also attracted me was the country itself, built from people all around the world, different countries and cultures coming together to form one, diverse and beautiful with a color of its own. Experiencing and learning about another country’s holidays and traditions was enough to interest me, as well as the thought of widening my English vocabulary, which has been pretty good so far. Since I was a child I watched Cartoon Network and English programs, as well as American films and series, so I became fluent at a very young age. But of course, there is always place for improvement!
And lastly, when I heard that this program included me taking care of a little one, I felt like it was made for me. I have always loved children and was a babysitter in my family whenever needed. At family gatherings I would always watch over the children and take care of them. I have babysat before for my family and friends, so I have experience with them, and since I was also a nurse I have that side of knowledge about children too. I am very responsible concerning my work and am willing to take care of your children for whatever their needs are.
I hope we will form a relationship of trust and friendship and I hope you will welcome me in your home gladly because I am very excited to become a part of your household! Thank you for your consideration!
