Program Details
- Caring for the host family’s children
- Engaging the children in games and educational activities
- Taking the children to and from school and other activities
- Preparing meals and snacks for the children
- Babysitting in the evenings as needed by the host family
- Performing light household work such as tidying up, laundry, and daily grocery shopping
- Other duties as outlined in the au pair contract with each host family
- A Single Room in the host family home with full board (3 meals each day)
- Pocket Money of 250-300 AUD per week
- Health Insurance covered under emergency care by government plan
- Placement Fee of $495 ($95 due at application and remainder due upon match)
- Travel arrangements to and from Australia
- Federal criminal record check
- Cost to obtain a visa
- Document processing/translation fees
- Travel Insurance
- Other expenses as outlined in the agreement between au pair and host family
- Up to 35 hours per week
- Hours may vary based upon host family’s schedule/needs
