Congratulations on completing the educational requirement for your Au Pair Program! The next step is to submit your proof of course completion to Au Pair International. This documentation must be submitted before extending your program beyond the initial 12 months and upon completing the program.

Accreditation Requirement

All courses taken toward the completion of an au pair’s educational requirement MUST be through a post-secondary accredited institution. Always verify accreditation PRIOR to enrolling. Click the link below to make sure your chosen school meets these important requirements!

*Note that au pairs may take a maximum of one online course per semester 

Acceptable Forms of Completed Education

  1. Letter of course completion – must be on school letterhead, contain the name and address of the institution, name of the course(s), number of credits/non-credit hours completed, number of credits/non-credit hours completed online, date of course completion, and a signature from the instructor or a school official
  2. Official course certificate – must contain the name and address of the institution, name of the course(s), number of credits/non-credit hours completed, number of  credits/non-credit hours completed online, date of course completion, and a signature from the instructor or a school official
  3. Official school transcript – must contain the name and address of the institution, name of the course(s), number of credits/non-credit hours completed, number of  credits/non-credit hours completed online, and date of course completion
  4. API Proof of Education Form (Click to Download) – completed and signed by each course instructor and the au pair
