Dear Family:
Hello dear family, first of all thanks for reading me. Here I leave you a little bit of who I am. My name is Denise Rossi and I am 26 years old. I live with my mother in La Pampa province, more specifically in Santa Rosa the capital, which is in the centre of Argentina.

Luckily, in La Pampa we have the opportunity to enjoy all the seasons of the year, here we have autumn, winter, spring and summer. I like to enjoy everything from a nice and hot meal in winter to the pool with friends in summer. I enjoy everything and I appreciate everything.

I have a sister named Barbara, she is a teacher. She is 31 years old and she lives in another city called Trenque Lauquen, with her husband. My grandmother, aunts, and cousins also live there.

My dad died 5 years ago, and we have the best memories of him. We had a very close relationship. My mom always says that he would be very proud of his daughters and that gives me a lot of peace.

We are a close family. We believe in the freedom of each individual and we respect each other in our decisions. Our family motto is: "The important thing is to be a good person".

In connection to my studies, I finished Secondary School in 2013, with honours in the science fair and with a degree in System Operation. In 2015, I started University in Santa Rosa, La Pampa. I wanted to be a lawyer. I have studied it for four years and last year I decided to quit, because I realized that I liked other things. When I was at University, I was part of the genre section in the OCU - Observation of Human Rights-, and I was also a member of the Student Union. Later on, in 2018, I got a scholarship to be part of the World Summit of Public Policies and “Jóvenes Iberoamericanos”. A year later, in 2019, I went to an English Institute. However, I decided to change to private lessons which were more personalized. Now I feel more comfortable and relaxed because the teacher focuses on my needs.

I believe that having a hobby of a great help when you work hard every week; it helps you relax your mind and body. That´s why I´ve done and practised many different things in my life like Karate, Rollerblading, swimming lessons, theatre lessons, running and Zumba. Also, I´m an open-minded person and I truly enjoy doing different things. For example, going to museums, different restaurants, or even going to racings.

As regards household chores, I have no problem doing any of them, as I´ve done all the chores in my house. For example, I´ve always been in charge of cooking, cleaning, watering the plants and doing the washing up.

Talking about my childcare experience, I must say that all of them were amazing and I have the most beautiful memories. I have looked after many children from different ages. I worked as a babysitter at all times, during morning, afternoon and evening and I felt comfortable with the timetables.

My first experience in childcare was with a beautiful girl called Morena who was 7 years old at that time. I took care of her from 2011 to 2013. Regularly, I used to take Morena from school. Then at home we used to prepare a snack and do her homework. Some days we used to go for a walk. Other days we used to play at home, dance, cook cakes, and watch movies. I loved spending time with More! We always had great fun.

Besides, I used to take care of a beautiful baby called Francisco for one year. While working in his house, I used to feed him and give him a bath while his mother was working. I took care of him since he was 2 months old to 11 months old.

As he grew up, some days we used to listen to music and we played suitable games for his age.

In 2017, I took care of Francisco again. I just took care of him for a few months, but we had a lot of fun. He was 3 years old and I remember he talked a lot. We used play at home and in the park and we used to cook, too. I put him in bed for his nap and sometimes I used to cook for him at noon.

Whenever I work with children, I like to play outdoors. Being in contact with nature is really important for me, that´s why I´m really good at inventing all kind of games; such as those that involve grass, little stones and mud.

In 2019, I worked in a companion school. I used to help Anabella, a 15-year-old teenager with autism. I was with her every morning at school, and then I used to take her to her house.

Another important job I would like to highlight is the one I did in 2018. I did a volunteering in Colombia with boys and girls from 9 to 17 years old. My task was to teach them about gender equality. However, we also did recreation activities such as those which involve using previous knowledge. I was in charge of more than two children at the same time while I was a volunteering in Colombia. I have taken care of my friends' children as a favour, too.

I think I am very responsible as a nanny. I am funny, happy and honest. I like being with children and working with them. I don´t like being a paternal figure, but a person they can trust at all times, like their older sister. I have no problem with ages, I get on well with all of them.

I want to participate in the au pair programme because I think it is an incredible experience and I really like children. It would be a good opportunity to me to evolve as a person and to know more about children. I also feel that living with other cultures is wonderful, and I love getting to know different ones. It would be awesome to get out of my comfort zone as I have the opportunity to learn and discover many new things.

I don’t want to expect anything, I want to be surprised. I would like to find a family that makes me feel part of them and that makes me feel at home and comfortable. I will do my best!

I hope you like and enjoy reading this letter of my life. Hopefully, someday, I will tell you all about me personally.

I hope to hearing from you soon. I am looking forward to meet you.

With Love, Denise.
