Letter To My Future Host Family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Igor, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Brazil. I currently live with my mother. Her name is Darteclea and she is 55 years old. I have two brothers; Bruno 33 years old works as a security guard and is a gym professor and Iago 27 years old and is a philosophy professor.

I've been at the nursing university since 2018 that's where I spend most of my time due to its full schedule and also the shifts that we interns have to attend at the city's hospital.

I’m very kind, flexible, proactive, independent, open minded, easy going, friendly and communicative. I don’t smoke, I don't drink alcohol and don’t like going the nightclubs.

In my free time I like to study English, go to a walk with my dog, cleaning my room, and practice sports like football (soccer), swimming, running and watch some movies.

I drive safely and daily to get to work. I've been driving for more than 3 years. I have first aid certification and lots of experience as a health care provider.

I have experience working with kids in the pediatric ward. I also have experience babysitting a child from seven months to two years. And I recently trained about fifty kids at a sports club. I take care of my nephew since he was born, he is ten now. I have a lot of energy to work with children and I enjoy sharing my daily routine with them.

The reason I want to become an au pair is because I want to have the opportunity to take care of children from other cultures, learn about it, improve my English skills and my experiences and knowledge in childcare. I want to be a good father in the future, so the Au Pair program will help me a lot with this.

Thank you host family for reading this letter. I hope to get to know you soon.

Best Regards,

Igor Rabelo
