Hosting an au pair is an extremely affordable and rewarding childcare option for your family. Fees are assessed per family, not per child, so it is an excellent way to budget your childcare, while learning about an exciting new culture from your au pair. Extension Program Fees
Are you currently a host family with Au Pair International? Extending families receive a special discount as a “thank you” for continuing to trust us with your program needs. Please contact us, to receive a quote for your extension year.
Additional Expenses To Consider When Hosting
- Host families pay up to $500 per candidate, per year toward the cost of the au pair’s required academic course work.
- Alternative childcare expenses during the au pair’s vacation. The au pair is entitled to a minimum of two (2) weeks paid vacation for each 12-month exchange term (prorated for periods shorter than 12 months). Au pairs also receive a minimum of 1.5 days off per week, and a minimum of one (1) full weekend off per month.
- Car insurance if the au pair is allowed to drive a car owned by the family.
