Dear host family,

My name is Zoélie Vallier, I am 21 years old and I come from France. I would describe myself as an energetic, cheerful, caring, and responsible person who loves discovering new cultures and forming genuine connections with people from all walks of life. My friends say that I have a good sense of priorities, that I am funny, a good listener, motivating, and that I have leadership skills.

In 2025, I graduated at the top of my class with a Bachelor of European in Hotel & Tourism Management, while completing a work-study program as a housekeeper in a 4-star hotel (Pullman). For over three years, I have been living independently in my own apartment, which has taught me autonomy and how to manage my daily life. I also had the opportunity to complete part of my middle school education and several internships abroad, notably in Morocco, which strengthened my adaptability and open-mindedness. 

In my free time, I like to alternate between social activities, family time, and personal hobbies. I love visiting my grandparents, organizing outings with my friends (restaurants, shopping, days at the beach or by the river in summer), or going skiing in winter. I also enjoy cozy evenings playing board games or sharing a good meal. Finally, I take care of my giant Flanders rabbit, who has taught me patience and a sense of responsibility.
 
Since 2023, I have held the BAFA (Brevet d’Aptitude aux Fonctions d’Animateur), a diploma that has given me solid training in supervising and organizing activities for children. I have accumulated more than 700 hours of experience with children aged 3 to 11 in various contexts:
 
• Babysitting (ages 8 and 9): picking up from school, snacks and meals, homework help, reading stories, games, safety.
•  Day camp (ages 3 to 11): leading games, supervising swimming pool outings, creative workshops, outdoor activities, cooking, role-playing, and evening activities.

Since I was a child, I have dreamed of visiting the United States, which is why I chose the US to be an au pair. I loved visiting Las Vegas for its unique energy, Miami for its exceptional beaches, and New York during the magical Christmas season. Beyond this dream, this au pair program represents an incredible opportunity for me to share my French culture, discover American family life from the inside, and of course, perfect my English in an authentic context.
As an au pair, I would be delighted to become like a big sister to your children: accompanying them in their learning, stimulating their creativity, and sharing fun and educational moments with them. I can offer your family my patience, creativity, sense of responsibility, and culinary skills. I would also be happy to help with homework and share the French language and culture. I have also had my driver’s license for three years, which will allow me to be independent in my travels.
